The Speikboden cable car runs from the valley floor behind Sand in Taufers (950 m) up to the popular Speikboden skiing and hiking area (1,958 m). From the top station, a short, family-friendly walk leads to the nearby Trejeralm (sun terrace, children’s playground). The walk is also suitable for pushchairs.

The Speikboden Mountain Railways have a large free car park. Passengers with a disabled parking permit may, if necessary, park in the immediate vicinity of the entrance area (access via the small access road to the left of the restaurant at the valley station; no reserved parking space is marked).
The reserved parking area and the adjoining access path are surfaced with loose gravel.
The valley station itself is designed to be completely accessible and, in addition to a reserved passageway f& families with pushchairs and cyclists, as well as a separate passageway for passengers in wheelchairs on the right-hand side. There is also a toilet (not accessible) directly at the valley station.
A level boarding platform provides direct access to the cabins: these are at ground level and can accommodate 8 people. The exit at the mountain station is also completely accessible. In the outdoor area of the valley station, however, the flooring once again consists of loose gravel.
From the mountain station, the Speikboden mountain restaurant (no accessible toilet) can be reached via a short, uphill access path with a gravel surface. Just above the restaurant, there is also a fantastic children’s playground with water features and a forest slide park.
Notes: Passengers with a disabled parking permit may park in the immediate vicinity of the entrance area (no designated parking space marked out; access is via the small access road to the left of the restaurant at the valley station). The barrier will be opened if required. The car park and the adjacent access path are covered in gravel.
