South Tyrol’s natural parks
Friendly staff, excellent facilities, and a wide range of activities invite you to discover our protected areas. The natural parks encompass extensive landscapes and cultural sites that are protected by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano–South Tyrol. These protected areas are invaluable in helping to preserve the region’s natural environment and traditional landscapes in their most authentic form. A natural park is not only about environmental conservation; it is also a place for scientific research, environmental education and awareness, and meaningful experiences in the natural world.

Visitor centres and park information points
South Tyrol’s natural parks not only promote nature conservation, support scientific research, and offer opportunities for relaxation in close contact with the natural environment, but also play an important role in environmental education. Visitor centres and information points are at the heart of this educational mission. Equipped with engaging displays and staffed by knowledgeable professionals, these centres aim to encourage a deeper appreciation of nature and the landscape. Each centre explores a specific theme through exhibitions, recreations of natural environments, dioramas, geological specimens, scale models, films, children's educational workshops, and much more.
