From the Merano Lido to the Kurhaus
This city walk leads from the Merano Lido along the Passer Promenade to the town centre. The route is flat and follows a firm surface (asphalt and paving) and offers plenty of places to stop for a bite to eat in the centre of Merano.
Accessibility
From Bolzano, take the MEBO motorway to Merano (Zentrum exit). Free parking is available at the municipal lido (3 kerbside spaces for people with disabilities) or at Praderplatz near the railway station; otherwise, paid parking is available in the town centre.Description
At the Merano Lido, there are a few free parking spaces and three reserved spaces for people with disabilities at the kerb. From here, we reach the start of the Passer Promenade via a step-free access ramp with an 8% gradient. We take a leisurely stroll along this flat, tarmac-surfaced footpath to Merano town centre. This is followed by a first junction with traffic lights (acoustic signal and call button) and a second junction with a zebra crossing. The promenade, which is somewhat quieter at the start, becomes increasingly lively from the junction with Rätiastraße and offers numerous places to stop for refreshments. From the town centre, we can walk along the Winter Promenade to the Summer Promenade or set off along the slightly more challenging Sissiweg towards Trauttmansdorff Castle.Information about the walk
