The Railway World is Italy’s largest digital model railway layout. The exhibition is based on an extensive collection of model trains, which, with over 20,000 pieces, ranks among the largest private collections in Europe. Part of the layout is taken up by ‘South Tyrol in Miniature’. South Tyrol’s landscape is depicted in miniature across an exhibition area of 300 square metres. For our younger visitors, there is a special kind of experience designed to encourage them to ‘get to grips with’ the subject in the truest sense of the word. Here, children can get hands-on: they can drive a train and explore the subject in a playful way. Of course, adults are also welcome to join in. This makes the Railway World an experience for the whole family.
