Just outside Kematen in Sand in Taufers lies the Thara sport fishing area. Besides the unique location of the pond and the tranquil atmosphere, guests can also enjoy a cozy bar with a lovely sun terrace. Fishing in the natural pond is possible with a day ticket without a fishing license (children must be accompanied by an adult). Rainbow trout, brown trout, or char can be caught.

The Thara sport fishing center is located just outside Kematen in Sand in Taufers. A large parking lot is situated directly in front of the facility, from which a short, relatively level path with a gravel and grass surface leads directly to the bar with its sun terrace and the ticket office. The premises are wheelchair accessible. Fishing equipment rental is also located in the bar area. From the bar terrace, a level path leads around the natural pond, where benches are regularly placed for resting. Individual wooden walkways bridge interrupted sections of the path (not accessible for wheelchair users). There are also accessible walkways along the water. The facility has a fully accessible restroom with a changing table (grab bar not included).
