Merano Thermal Baths
Foto (29)
The Terme Merano, located in the center of the spa town, offers a thermal complex with numerous pools, saunas, and steam baths. The large indoor area is open 365 days a year. The outdoor area of the Terme Merano, in the Terme Park, is also open in the summer. Other highlights include the sauna oasis, the modern fitness center, a Medical Area & Vital Center, and a cozy bistro.
Rating: Very high
The Merano Thermal Baths have an underground garage with 13 parking spaces reserved for disabled guests. The elevator in the underground parking garage conveniently reaches the Piazza Terme and the entrance on the same level. Overall, the thermal baths are easily accessible, and the elevators (140x110cm) provide access to all floors and areas. In both the indoor and outdoor areas, one of the pools is equipped with a lift for entry, and others have a raised pool edge. The sauna area on level -1 is also easily accessible and usable. The only difficulties may be the snow room, which is accessible only with assistance, and the Roof Whirlpool in the outdoor area of the Sauna Area, which is accessible only via steps. The Medical Area & Vital Center, the Fitness Center, and the Bistro are fully accessible.
Disabled guests can enjoy a 30% discount on admission to the thermal baths upon presentation of their disability card and ID. The discount is also extended to the accompanying persons indicated in the specific declaration.
Notes: The Terme's underground parking lot has 13 parking spaces reserved for disabled guests (level +2), where guests with a disabled badge can park for free (the pay station is open 24 hours a day). From the underground parking lot, guests can take two elevators to Piazza Terme, just a few steps from the main entrance to the Terme.

Notes: The indoor area is open year-round. The large 240-square-meter main pool is equipped with a lift and is connected to the outdoor pool. The other pools are accessible only by steps or ladders. The two thermal pools have a 64-cm high edge, which may be helpful for some visitors with mobility issues. The hot and cold water pools are 8 cm high, which may make access difficult. The saltwater pool is also connected to the outdoor pool. Overall, this area is easily accessible, although some loungers and pools require steps.
